What is an Account at Ospree?

Last updated 1 month ago

In Ospree, an account represents an individual or legal entity involved in a crypto transaction, maintained for compliance and regulatory purposes under the Travel Rule framework.

Ospree supports two types of accounts:

  • Customer Account: A client onboarded by your organization.

  • Non-Customer Account: An external individual or entity.

Each account stores the essential details required for compliance ensuring accurate and complete data exchange during a travel rule transfer. Accounts are used to associate wallet addresses, standardize required data, and reduce the risk of rejected or delayed transactions due to missing compliance information. They can be created and managed via the Ospree API or Console.
