Description

INSTRUCTION

A travel rule transfer has a type of INSTRUCTION when the transfer goes through the regular travel rule process.

RECORD

A Travel Rule transfer has the type RECORD when any of the following conditions apply:

  • The transaction is an incoming or outgoing transfer involving a self-hosted wallet.

  • The transaction is an incoming VASP-to-VASP deposit for which the counterparty has not initiated a Travel Rule transfer. The client creates an internal record for compliance and audit purposes, such as for a me-to-me transfer or another applicable scenario.
