# Email

#### Integration type

Email-based counterparty invitation and onboarding.

#### Description

An Ospree user can request the activation of a counterparty VASP by entering its email address in the Accounts Directory. Ospree sends an automated invitation that directs the counterparty through registration and compliance onboarding.

#### Prerequisites and limitations

The inviting company must have access to Ospree and the Accounts Directory module. The counterparty must receive the invitation, register with Ospree, provide the required compliance information, and pass Ospree’s review. Following approval, the inviting company must complete any applicable internal due diligence before initiating Travel Rule exchanges.

#### Important terminology

* Sunrise Issue: Uneven implementation of Travel Rule requirements between jurisdictions.
* Request VASP: The action used to invite a counterparty. Counterparty activation: The onboarding and approval process required before an exchange can begin.
* Active VASP: An approved counterparty available in the Ospree VASP Directory.
